This year INCOGNITO, SMMoA’s popular art
sale, offered 697 artworks – all donated by emerging, mid-career and
internationally acclaimed artists - for sale at $350 each. Of course,
names were hidden until after purchase. which meant buyers had to trust
their instincts and choose accordingly.
Smart buyers came in flat shoes to navigate
through the crowd, among them Simon Baker and Robin Tunney of “The
Mentalist;” Sasha Alexander of “NCIS” and her husband, director Edoardo
Ponti of “Coming and Going;” director/producer Michael Mann of “Luck and
“Miami Vice;” director/producer Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu of
“Biutiful” and “Babel;” directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris of
“Little Miss Sunshine;” producer Andrew Stearn of “Shameless;” producers
Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald of “Men in Black;” artists Gary
Baseman, Richard Carter and Case Simmons; art collectors Samuel Freeman,
Craig Krull and Rose Shoshana.
Edoardo and Perrey Reeves goof off while Sasha looks on.
